Biography
Natalie Goodwin is an award winning broadcast journalist, and producer from Paisley, Scotland. She has completed her debut novel, Death Knock, which was shortlisted for Bloody Scotland’s Pitch Perfect competition in 2025 and has been endorsed by Sir Ian Rankin, who described it as “a very accomplished piece of work that kept me turning the pages – as chilling as it is plausible.”
Drawing on her background in journalism and crime-scene reporting, she writes with a journalist’s eye for detail and a novelist’s instinct for emotional truth.
Natalie works as a producer on Scotland’s most-watched news and current affairs programme, Scotland Tonight, where she helps shape stories that inform and challenge audiences every day.
When she’s not chasing stories at work or on the page, Natalie is kept busy by two small children — and is fuelled, always, by strong coffee.
